MillerKnoll was born from the meeting of two historic and iconic figures in modern design: Herman Miller and Knoll.

Herman Miller, Inc., headquartered in Zeeland, Michigan, is one of America's leading manufacturers of furniture, equipment, and office furnishings. The company is known for being among the first to produce modern furniture and is recognized as one of the most influential manufacturers of modernism, having collaborated with some of the most visionary designers of the 20th century. Many of its furnishings are now considered true icons of industrial design.

Knoll, on the other hand, traces its roots to 1938, when Hans Knoll founded the H.G. Knoll Furniture Company with the aim of bringing the modern ideals promoted by the German Bauhaus to America. Together with Florence Schust Knoll, who joined the company in 1941, the brand developed a unique identity, blending the essential lines and steel of the Bauhaus with the organic forms and craftsmanship of Cranbrook. This approach helped define the American modernist movement.

The union of Herman Miller and Knoll gave birth to MillerKnoll, a group that not only preserves an extraordinary design legacy but also looks to the future, offering innovative solutions for workspaces and contemporary living. MillerKnoll today represents one of the most significant global players in the design and furniture sector, capable of uniting tradition, innovation, and vision.
